The Q5F puts Samsung's QLED colour layer behind a 1920 x 1080 panel, which is the resolution that suits a 32-inch television: at this size and a normal viewing distance, colour volume and contrast do more visible work than pixel count. Micro Dimming Pro and Mega Contrast handle the light.
The tuner is the other quiet advantage: DVB-T2CS2 means it takes satellite as well as terrestrial and cable, which the Crystal UHD lines do not. Two HDMI inputs, one with eARC, plus AirPlay and Google Cast for phones. Tizen runs the apps and Samsung TV Plus, and Samsung Knox handles security.

What quantum dots add at this size
The Q5F is a Real QLED, which means a quantum dot layer in front of the backlight producing colour more precisely than a plain LED panel. At 32 inches the payoff is saturation and depth rather than detail: PurColour and Quantum HDR do the colour work, Micro Dimming Pro and Mega Contrast handle brightness and shadow, and the Hyper Real processor ties the two together on a 1920 x 1080 grid.
Broadcast, apps and casting
The DVB-T2CS2 tuner is the practical difference from the rest of the range, taking satellite as well as terrestrial and cable. Tizen with Samsung TV Plus provides free ad-supported channels and the usual apps, Samsung Knox looks after security, and there is a web browser. AirPlay and Google Cast handle phones and tablets, and the set answers to Alexa and Google Assistant.
