Description
NEFF N50 Built-Under Larder Fridge
A fully integrated N50 built-under larder fridge that tucks 134 litres of chilled storage, a Fresh Safe drawer and Super Cooling neatly beneath the counter.
The KU1212FE0G is NEFF's N50 built-under larder fridge, made to slide into a standard 82 x 60 cm under-counter housing and vanish behind a furniture door. With 134 litres of chilled storage, it suits smaller kitchens, apartments and utility spaces, or works as a second fridge for drinks and overflow in a busy household.
For a compact fridge it is properly specified. A Fresh Safe drawer gives fruit and vegetables dedicated storage, Super Cooling drops the temperature to chill new shopping quickly, and LED lighting with soft start makes the interior clear at a glance. At 35 dB(A) it keeps to itself, with a door alarm if it is left open.
Ideal For
Fits a standard 82 cm-high, 60 cm-wide under-counter housing, delivering 134 litres of fresh-food storage without claiming a full column of precious cabinet space.
In a utility room or island unit it swallows drinks, salads and party overflow, keeping the main fridge free for the weekly shop.
Fully integrated behind a matching furniture door with a flat hinge, it keeps small kitchens looking clean, continuous and completely built-in.
Key Features
Three shelves, two height-adjustable, and two door bins organise a surprising amount of fresh food within an 82 cm housing.
A dedicated drawer keeps fruit and vegetables in better condition than open shelving, even in a compact fridge.
Temporarily lowers the temperature to chill a new shop quickly, then returns to its regular setting automatically.
Long-life LED lighting fades up gently and illuminates the whole interior, so nothing gets lost at the back.
Class B noise emissions of 35 dB(A) mean it works away unnoticed beneath the worktop, with a door alarm as backup.
The right-hung door can be reversed during installation, so the fridge opens the right way for your kitchen layout.
Small fridge, full-size thinking
Built-under fridges often get the budget treatment: wire shelves, a bare bulb and little else. NEFF has specified this one like its bigger siblings. The three shelves are safety glass and two adjust in height, the Fresh Safe drawer gives produce its own microclimate, and the LED light with soft start fades up rather than glaring. Even Super Cooling, usually reserved for full-height models, is here to chill a fresh shop quickly before returning to normal by itself.
The under-counter advantage
An 82 x 60 cm housing is one of the most common gaps in Irish kitchens, and this fridge is built precisely for it, with a niche depth of just 55 cm. Because it is fully integrated on a flat hinge, your own furniture door goes on the front and the kitchen line stays unbroken. The door is right-hung but reversible, so an installer can swap the opening to suit a corner position or an awkward walkway. At 28.1 kg it is a manageable fit too.
Efficient enough to run as a second fridge
A fridge that runs around the clock should be cheap to keep. This one consumes 93 kWh a year, modest even by larder fridge standards, and its 35 dB(A) Class B noise rating means you will not hear it working beneath the counter. That combination makes it an easy appliance to add as a dedicated drinks fridge or overflow chiller as well as a primary fridge in a smaller home. The door alarm keeps an eye on things, sounding if the door has not closed properly.
How It Compares
| Kitchen Need | NEFF Technology | Practical Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Small kitchen space | 82 x 60 cm build-under fit | Uses a standard under-counter housing, leaving tall cabinets free for storage. |
| Fresh veg on hand | Fresh Safe drawer | Dedicated produce storage keeps fruit and vegetables fresher than a shelf would. |
| Post-shop chill | Super Cooling | Quickly pulls new groceries down to temperature, then resets itself automatically. |
| Quiet worktop area | 35 dB(A) operation | Class B running is quiet enough to go unnoticed directly beneath the counter. |
| Awkward door swing | Reversible flat hinge | The door can be re-hung to open whichever way suits the room. |
| Running costs | 93 kWh per year | Modest annual consumption makes it economical as a main or second fridge. |
