The PNP6B6K40 is Bosch's Series 4 built-in gas hob, laid out on a sheet of black tempered glass rather than steel or enamel. It suits a kitchen where the hob is part of the look of the worktop, with a frameless edge that can be fitted flush into the surface or sit slightly raised above it.
Underneath the glass is a full gas hob. Four burners give 7.5 kW in total, led by a 3 kW high-speed burner, with two 1.75 kW burners and a 1 kW economy burner. Semi-continuous cast iron pan supports carry the pans, and every burner has a flame failure safety device.
Ideal For

Why gas on glass looks different

Four burners and how they work
The spread runs from 1 kW to 3 kW. The high-speed burner at 3 kW is for the jobs that need heat quickly, a full pan of water or a wok that has to stay hot when cold food goes in. Two 1.75 kW burners cover the everyday pans, and the 1 kW economy burner takes the low end for melting and holding. Total connected load is 7.5 kW. Ignition is integrated into the dials, so pushing and turning a control lights the burner without a separate switch.
Planning the worktop installation
