Wide hobs need wide hoods. The DWP94BC50B is Bosch's Series 2 pyramid chimney hood in its 90 cm size, built to span a range cooker or a full-width hob so that steam from the outer burners is caught rather than left to drift. The stainless steel canopy tapers up into a telescopic chimney that hides the ducting behind it.
Three power levels are chosen on mechanical push buttons, with no display to read or menu to learn, and the top setting extracts up to 365 m³/h when ducted outside. Two LEDs light the hob with 94 lux of neutral 3,500 K light, and the washable aluminium grease filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Matching the hood to a wide hob
A hood only captures what passes underneath it, which is why fitting a narrow hood over a 90 cm hob leaves the outer pans venting into the room. This canopy is a full 90 cm across and 50 cm deep, covering the whole cooking area including the front rings, where steam most often escapes. If you have a range cooker or a wide induction hob, that coverage does more for everyday performance than a higher airflow figure on a narrower canopy.
Simple controls that keep working
There is no display, no touch surface and no app here, just three mechanical push buttons for the fan and one for the lights. Plenty of people prefer it that way. The buttons can be found without looking, they work with a floury or wet hand, and there is nothing to reset when the power flickers. Cleaning is easier too: a wipe along a row of buttons rather than around a sensitive electronic panel.
Ducting, recirculation and clearances
The outlet is 150 mm and ducted installation delivers the full 365 m³/h. Where an external duct run is not possible, the DHZ5275 recirculation kit, an optional accessory, filters the air and returns it to the room at up to 213 m³/h. Height matters as much as airflow: Bosch specifies a minimum 550 mm between an electric hob and the underside of the hood, or 650 mm above gas, and the chimney adjusts between 79.9 and 97.5 cm. The unit weighs 10.9 kg and has a 1.3 m power cord.
