The DWP64BC50B is Bosch's Series 2 pyramid chimney hood, sized for a standard 60 cm hob and finished in stainless steel. It mounts on the wall above the cooker, with a tapered canopy that draws steam and cooking smells up into a telescopic chimney. Three push-button speeds are all the controls there are, which suits anyone who wants a hood that simply works.
Ducted to an outside wall it moves up to 365 m³/h, enough to keep a busy 60 cm hob clear on the highest of its three settings. Two LED lamps throw 104 lux of neutral 3,500 K light across the pans, and the aluminium grease filter lifts out for a run through the dishwasher.

Extraction rate is the number that matters most in a hood, and 365 m³/h on the top ducted setting is a solid figure for a standard 60 cm hob. In practice that means steam from a pot of pasta clears rather than settling on the wall units, and the smell of fried onions does not follow you into the sitting room. Run it a few minutes before you start and a few minutes after, and the kitchen stays noticeably fresher.
Ducted or recirculating: choosing your setup
If your kitchen has an external wall behind or near the hob, ducting is the better option: the air, grease and moisture leave the house entirely, and the hood works at its full 365 m³/h. Where a duct run is not possible, the DHZ5275 recirculation kit filters the air and returns it to the room at up to 211 m³/h. The kit is an optional accessory, so factor it into your plans if you are going that route.
Fitting it above your hob
The canopy is 60 cm wide and 50 cm deep, with the chimney extending from 79.9 cm to 97.5 cm to suit standard and taller ceilings. Bosch specifies a minimum 550 mm between the hob and the underside of the hood over electric, or 650 mm over gas, so measure that gap before you commit to a height. The 1.3 m power cord means the socket needs to be within reach, and at 7.7 kg the wall fixings have an easy job.
