Description
Bosch Series 2 60cm Integrated Pull-Out Cooker Hood
A 60 cm integrated pull-out hood that hides inside a wall cupboard and delivers the strongest extraction here, up to 625 m³/h when ducted.
The DEM66AC00B is built to be invisible. This Series 2 integrated hood fits between cupboards above the hob, with a silver pull-out screen that extends when you are cooking and slides back out of sight when you are not. Kitchens that want an unbroken run of wall units, or a period room where a chimney hood would jar, are exactly what it is designed for.
Hidden it may be, but it is the strongest extractor of Bosch's smaller hoods here: up to 625 m³/h ducted on the top of three speeds, and 416 m³/h recirculating. Two 3 W LEDs light the hob with 188 lux of warm 2,700 K light, and two metal grease cassettes lift out for cleaning in the dishwasher.
Ideal For
Fitted inside a wall cupboard, the hood leaves the kitchen's run of doors intact. Only the silver pull-out screen shows, and only when you are cooking.
At up to 625 m³/h ducted this pulls harder than the chimney hoods in the range, which matters if you fry, wok-cook or use the hob heavily.
The body is 40.2 cm high, 59.9 cm wide and only 27.1 cm deep, so it fits into a standard 60 cm wall unit above the hob.
Key Features
The highest of three power levels extracts up to 625 m³/h when ducted outside, the strongest figure among these Bosch hoods by a clear margin.
The screen slides out over the hob while you cook and pushes back in afterwards, so the hood only takes up visual space when it is working.
Two 3 W LEDs deliver 188 lux at a warm 2,700 K, a bright but soft light that suits a hob used in an open living space.
Two removable grease cassettes in washable aluminium do the filtering, and both go into the dishwasher rather than needing a scrub at the sink.
Energy efficiency class B with 68.4 kWh a year, and a blower rated class B, which is creditable given how much air it moves.
Designed to be fitted between cupboards above the hob, with a 150 mm outlet and a 1.5 m power cord for connection inside the unit.
The appeal of a hidden hood
Not every kitchen wants a chimney hood as its focal point. A pull-out hood sits inside a wall unit, sharing the same door line as the cupboards on either side, and the only visible element is the silver screen that slides forward when you cook. In a small kitchen this keeps the wall from feeling crowded, and in a period room it avoids a large stainless canopy dominating the space. Pull the screen out, and you have a full working hood.
Why 625 cubic metres matters
Airflow is where this model surprises people. Ducted, it reaches 625 m³/h on its top setting, well ahead of the chimney hoods in the same series, and even recirculating it manages 416 m³/h. That headroom is useful for high-heat cooking: searing, wok work or anything that produces smoke quickly. The trade-off is noise, since the maximum setting measures 70 dB(A), so most of the time you will be running the lower two speeds and saving the top one for when it earns its keep.
Fitting it into your kitchen units
The appliance measures 40.2 cm high, 59.9 cm wide and 27.1 cm deep, sized for a standard 60 cm wall cupboard above the hob. The air outlet is 150 mm, with a 120 mm option enclosed, and the power cord is 1.5 m, so a socket needs to be within reach inside the cabinetry. Bosch requires a minimum 500 mm between the hob surface and the underside of the hood over electric, or 650 mm over gas. For recirculating installation, the DWZ0IM0A0 charcoal filter is needed and is bought separately.
How It Compares
| Kitchen Need | Bosch Technology | Practical Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Minimal kitchen look | Integrated pull-out design | The hood hides inside a wall cupboard, leaving the run of doors visually unbroken. |
| High-heat cooking | 625 m³/h ducted | Enough airflow to clear smoke from searing or wok cooking before it reaches the rest of the house. |
| Small kitchens | 27.1 cm body depth | A shallow body fits a standard wall unit without the canopy crowding the space above the hob. |
| Evening ambience | 188 lux at 2,700 K | Warm LED light over the hob that suits a kitchen open to a living or dining area. |
| Grease cleaning | 2 dishwasher-safe cassettes | Both metal filters lift out and wash in the dishwasher on an ordinary cycle. |
| No duct route | Charcoal filter option | Recirculating operation with the DWZ0IM0A0 filter returns air to the room at up to 416 m³/h. |

The Verdict
Strengths
- Up to 625 m³/h ducted, 416 m³/h recirculating
- Hides inside a wall cupboard above the hob
- Pull-out screen extends only while you cook
- Two 3 W LEDs give 188 lux at 2,700 K
- Two washable metal cassettes, both dishwasher-safe
- Compact 40.2 x 59.9 x 27.1 cm body
