Description
The Belling BAFF446IX is a 90cm-wide American-style fridge freezer with 442 litres of storage behind two inox doors: a 291-litre fridge with two salad drawers on the right and a 151-litre four-star freezer with two drawers on the left. Total No Frost technology stops ice forming in either side, and the freezer takes 11.2kg of fresh food in 24 hours.
An inverter compressor runs quietly at 39dB, multi air flow circulates cold air evenly, and LED lighting lights the interior. Electronic controls, a child lock and door-open and high-temperature alarms are built in, and food stays safe for nine hours in a power cut. At just 59cm deep and 177cm tall, with recessed handles and silver interior trims, it is rated E for energy at 287kWh a year.
What stands out
Slim 59cm depth
Most American fridge freezers stand proud of the worktop. At 59cm deep, this one sits almost flush with standard kitchen units.
442 litres side by side
A 291-litre fridge with two salad drawers and a 151-litre freezer with two drawers, so fresh and frozen food are both at hand height.
Total No Frost
Frost does not build up in the fridge or the freezer, so there is nothing to defrost by hand.
Inverter compressor
Adjusts its output to the load rather than switching on and off, keeping noise to 39dB.
Multi air flow and LED lighting
Cold air circulates evenly through the compartments, and LED lighting shows what is on every shelf.
Alarms and child lock
A door-open alarm, a high-temperature alarm and a child lock protect the contents and the settings.
Nine hours in a power cut
Food stays safely frozen for nine hours if the power goes off.
